The EGR journey began when brothers Greg and Rod Horwill, working out of a garage from their family home, purchased acrylic from Nylex and experimented with developing innovatively styled acrylic coffee tables. In 1973, Greg moved to Brisbane and borrowed funds to officially start EGR with a vision of expanding their interior products business and entering the automotive accessories market with a product that would protect quartz halogen headlights that were breaking easily.
